We should be grateful for what we have rather than focusing on what we don’t have, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles taught Church members in Seoul, Korea. He reminded them that the gospel provides the joy, happiness, and peace we all seek.
Prior to this meeting, Elder Cook met with journalists from several Korean newspapers for a question-and-answer session. He answered questions about missionary work, policies and doctrines of the Church, and the way members live, among other topics.

Elder Cook spent time teaching, counseling, and answering the questions of missionaries in the Korea Daejeon Mission. He participated in a priesthood leadership conference for the Korea Daejeon Mission area, where he taught the priesthood leaders. The teaching time was followed by a question-and-answer session in which Elder Cook and members of the Area Seventy particularly helped the priesthood leaders understand the new Church handbooks.
The visit ended with Elder Cook’s participation in a stake conference held by the Cheongju Korea Stake. This was the stake’s first visit from an Apostle, and 450 members attended. A stake youth choir welcomed Elder Cook by singing “I Am a Child of God” as he entered the chapel. At this meeting, Elder Cook encouraged the members to increase their faith in Jesus Christ and to strengthen their families.
Elder Cook also participated in a priesthood leadership conference in Kobe, Japan, and at the Okayama Japan Stake conference; visited with representatives from Meiji Shrine in Tokyo, Japan; and made a brief visit to Vietnam.
