He encouraged graduates to focus on the blessings they have received and to create an impact on the world around them.

Work with people of other faiths to improve the moral fabric of this nation and the world and to protect religious freedom, Elder Cook challenged students graduating from BYU-Idaho. He encouraged graduates to become a beacon for morality through their personal interactions and to join with people of other faiths who feel accountable to God.

As Sacred as Solomon’s Temple
“This temple will bring eternal families to this place and country,” President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, said at the dedication of the Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple. “After this day, this temple will be as sacred as the temple of Solomon, the temple in Nauvoo, the temple in Salt Lake City, or as sacred as any of the temples in the world.”

Preparing Our Hearts for Christmas
As the Christmas season begins, each of us should open our heart to receive once again a witness that Christ was born as the Savior of the world, that He lives, and that because of Him, we will live again. This opening of our hearts was encouraged by President Thomas S. Monson; President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor; and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor, during the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on December 4, 2011.
