Cultivate Attitude of Gratitude, President Monson Encourages

Having a thankful heart helps us lift others and ourselves as well, President Thomas S. Monson says in this short video.

In this video on gratitude, taken from an address in October 2010 general conference, Church President Thomas S. Monson encourages people everywhere to give thanks for their blessings, particularly the blessings we have all received from the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Sincerely giving thanks not only helps us recognize our blessings but it also unlocks the doors of heaven and helps us feel God’s love,” President Monson says in this short video taken from a talk he gave during general conference in October 2010.

“Do we remember to give thanks for the blessings we receive?” the prophet asks. “Regardless of our circumstances, each of us has much for which to be grateful, if we but pause and contemplate our blessings.”

“May we ever reflect our gratitude for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” President Monson says. “He taught us how to pray. He taught us how to live. He taught us how to die. His life is a legacy of love. Let us follow Him. Let us emulate His example. Let us obey His words. By so doing, we give to Him the divine gift of gratitude.”
