Commandments of God

The laws and requirements that God gives to mankind, either individually or collectively. Keeping the commandments will bring blessings of the Lord to the obedient (D&C 130:21).

  • Noah did according to all that God commanded him:Gen. 6:22;
  • Walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments:Lev. 26:3;
  • Keep my commandments, and live:Prov. 4:4; ( Prov. 7:2; )
  • If ye love me, keep my commandments:John 14:15; ( D&C 42:29; )
  • Whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments:1 Jn. 3:22;
  • His commandments are not grievous:1 Jn. 5:3;
  • Be immovable in keeping the commandments:1 Ne. 2:10;
  • The Lord gives no commandments save he shall prepare a way:1 Ne. 3:7;
  • I must do according to the strict commands of God:Jacob 2:10;
  • Inasmuch as ye keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land:Jarom 1:9; ( Alma 9:13; Alma 50:20; )
  • Learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God:Alma 37:35;
