Having Fun but Feeling Empty
Meet Dylan Burnside. When he was 25, he was a less-active young man wandering through life. Dylan was having the time of his life hanging out with friends, camping on the weekends, and living what he called “the good life.”
How to Help High School Graduates Enroll in Institute
As high school students eagerly await graduation, they prepare for an uncertain future filled with unique challenges and life-changing decisions. By Study and Also by Faith
“Our history doesn’t limit us, but like a plant’s roots it anchors and nourishes us and is crucial for growth.” So writes Elder Paul V. Johnson in the foreword to the newly published history of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, By Study and Also by Faith—One Hundred Years of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, now available in print and online.

New Cornerstone Courses Offered in Institute
Four new courses have been approved to be offered beginning in 2015 and 2016. These courses focus on the Savior, His doctrine, the eternal family, and significant events in Church history. Stepping Up to the Challenge
On September 22, 2013, Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited the Salt Lake City Utah University Campus Institute, located on the University of Utah campus. He reminded students that service helps us come to know and sense the reality that our Father in Heaven is there and hears our prayers.
Returned Missionaries Not Immune to Inactivity
Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, “I have [learned] that the adjustment associated with leaving the mission field and returning to the world you left behind is sometimes difficult. Perhaps it is hard to keep alive the spirit of missionary work when you are no longer serving as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
