Access the Savior's Atonement through the Sacrament

During October, you will have the opportunity to testify that one of the reasons why Jesus Christ instituted the sacrament was to help us remember Him and His Atonement for our sins (see Matthew 26:26–28). Consider using these images in your classroom as you teach these important principles.

Invite Students to Share

Please invite students to use social media to share their understanding of the relationship between partaking of the sacrament each week and accessing the power of the Atonement. Shareable images about the sacrament and the Atonement of Jesus Christ can be found on the seminary Facebook page and are included below.

How to Share

You and your students can share on social media what you have learned about how the sacrament provides access to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Invite students to consider what you have discussed in class about the relationship between partaking of the sacrament weekly and being able to repent through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Invite students to then answer the following questions on social media:

• How does the sacrament help me come unto Jesus Christ?
• How does the sacrament provide a fresh start through the Atonement of Jesus Christ?
