Church Builds in New York

As a joint venture with a real estate development company, Two Lincoln Square Associates, the Church is constructing this 36-story building in New York to provide religious, cultural and educational facilities for area Church members, as well as a 324-unit apartment complex. The building, already under construction, is located in the heart of Lincoln Square across the street from the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, with the Juilliard School of Music, the New York State Theater, Philharmonic Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House nearby. The Church facilities will serve the needs of the two Manhattan wards, the Spanish-American Branch, and the New York Stake, and will be headquarters for the Eastern States Mission. Also provided for is a visitors center. Church facilities in the building will be on the first four stories, with a separate entrance. Two Lincoln Square Associates will be responsible for the development of the apartment tower plus two pedestrian plazas lined with stores.
