Area Conference in the Far East
August will be a history-making, record-breaking month for the Church in the Orient. Five unprecedented area conferences in nine crescendo days will bring President Spencer W. Kimball and other General Authorities to the homelands of approximately 65,000 members of the Church. The conferences open in Tokyo August 8–10, continue in Manila August 11–12, double up for simultaneous conferences in Hong Kong and Taiwan August 13–14, and conclude in Seoul August 15–17.
