Walking Robot

You will need: pencil, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of white paper, scissors, crayons, two pennies, and thread.

Color a funny face and arms (see illustration). To form feet, fold up each let 1″ and glue a penny on each foot. Cut two pieces of thread, each 12″ long. Tape ends of thread to pennies. Now your robot is ready to walk. Stand him up on a tabletop. Pull one thread gently to make one leg move, then the other thread to make the other leg move. Keep alternating leg movements and your robot will walk right up to you.
