Marking Your Scriptures

Here are a few ideas to help you start marking your own scriptures. The pages listed are for the LDS edition of the King James version of the Bible and the 1981 edition of the Book of Mormon. If you don’t know how to read words or numbers yet, ask your mom and dad or a sister or brother to tell you the stories and help you find the right pages. You draw what will help you to remember each story. To give you some ideas, we’ve put in parentheses what Steven drew.

Pages 10–12	Noah commanded to build the ark (boat, rain cloud).
Pages 15–16	The Tower of Babel (tall tower).
Page 20	Abraham paying tithing to Melchizedek (nine brown pennies, one yellow penny).
Page 31	Abraham commanded to sacrifice Isaac (sword).
Pages 56–57	Joseph given a coat of many colors and sold into Egypt (coat with colored stripes).
Pages 75–77	Jacob blessing his twelve sons (twelve small stick figures, one large figure).
Pages 81–82	The Lord appearing to Moses at the burning bush (bush on fire).
Pages 89–93	The Lord sending plagues—frogs, flies, storms, etc.—upon Egypt (frogs, flies).
Pages 100–101	Moses parting the Red Sea (two walls of water with stick figure of man in middle).
Pages 109–110	The Ten Commandments given to Moses (stone tablets with writing on them).

Pages 3–4	Lehi departing with his family into wilderness (suitcase).
