Grow Your Name

Would you like to grow your name? All you need is a small spot in the family garden or flower bed; a package of radish seeds; a sharp, pointed stick; and a trowel.

Decide where you want your name to be. Then loosen the soil with the trowel. Using the stick, lightly write your name in the soil. The letters should be about 6″ (15 cm) high. Then use the stick to make holes 1″ (2.5 cm) apart and 1″ (2.5 cm) deep along the letter lines.

Next, drop three radish seeds into each hole, fill it halfway with dirt, then carefully fill the rest of it with water.

The seeds will soon come up, and your name will be spelled out in tiny green leaves. And within a short time, if you water them and keep the weeds pulled, the radishes will be ready to eat. Can you imagine eating your own name?
