Marshmallow Animals

To make these animals, you will need: miniature marshmallows, regular marshmallows, toothpicks, raisins, maraschino cherries, toasted oat cereal, frosting, and scissors.

Make an animal parade, a pet shop, a zoo, or a farm that’s good to eat! Form marshmallows into different animals and hold them together with toothpicks. Use raisins for eyes, pieces of maraschino cherry for mouths, and cereal for tails. Attach eyes and mouths with frosting.

Rabbit: Use a regular marshmallow for the body and a miniature marshmallow for the tail. Cut a regular marshmallow in half and use one half for the head. Cut the other half in half again for the ears.

Dog: Use a regular marshmallow for the body. Stick four toothpicks into the body for legs and put a miniature marshmallow on each toothpick for the feet. Cut a regular marshmallow in half and use one of the halves for the head. Cut the remaining half in half and use one half for the tail. Take the last piece, cut it in half again, and use it for the ears.

Mouse: Use a regular marshmallow for the mouse and two miniature marshmallows for the ears. Slide cereal on a toothpick for the tail.

Worm: Push six miniature marshmallows onto a toothpick.

Sitting Bear: Use two regular marshmallows for the body and the head, and seven miniature marshmallows for the ears, feet, and tail.
