Friends in the News

Alicia B., 11, California, has been working on her Faith in God award since she turned eight. Working on it has helped her testimony to grow. She enjoys Primary and is grateful for the Church, her family, her friends, and blessings from Heavenly Father. She looks forward to attending Young Women.

Philip S., 10, Arizona, likes to play football, basketball, and kickball. He is a good student and enjoys Cub Scouts. He loves Jesus Christ and likes to bear his testimony.

Charlize J., 3, Alberta, Canada, loves her Primary teacher. She enjoys singing “I Am a Child of God,” coloring, and doing crafts. She likes following the example of her big sister and helping with her baby sister.

Taye, Scotia, and Jax B., 8, 3, and 6, North Carolina, have grandparents serving a mission in Ecuador. For Christmas, the children sent some of their leaf-raking money to help someone in need.

Joseph C., 7, Utah, got sick while hiking with his dad and older brother. He wanted to quit, but thanks to a blessing from his dad and help from some friendly hikers, he made it down the mountain safely. He knows that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers.

Albany Ward

The Primary children in the Albany Ward, Tifton Georgia Stake, had an activity about families. They played games, made booklets for family home evening, and made pictures of their family.

South Pointe Ward

The Primary children of the South Pointe Ward, Henderson Nevada Green Valley Stake, have a Friend summer reading program. They read the Friend and keep track on their own reading chart that they can color. The children enjoy learning about the gospel from the stories and activities. At the end of the summer, the Primary has an activity with games and questions about stories from the Friend.

Amelia W., 8, Taiwan, was asked to construct a building as a school project. She immediately came up with the idea to construct the Washington D.C. Temple. It turned out beautifully! Amelia is a big support to her family and is kind to her brothers.
