Ordinances are special ceremonies, like baptism and confirmation, that we need to return to God. If someone doesn’t get baptized or receive another ordinance while they are alive, we can do the ordinance for them in the temple after they have died.
Some of your ancestors might need ordinances done for them in the temple. Use the chart below to keep track. If the ordinance has already been done, color the temple picture. Then add this chart to your family history binder or box! If you don’t know about some ancestors, keep praying for help and trying to find out more about them.

Request Ordinances on FamilySearch.org
When you’re on FamilySearch.org, look for a picture of a temple in a green box. That means someone needs an ordinance done. Click on the green box. Then click the “Request” button. An adult can take that person’s name to the temple. And remember that you can help with temple work when you turn 12!
