Volume 22, Number 10

On the cover: Marvelous resources—including Church magazines—“help us cling to our values and walk in obedience to the Lord.” See “A Magazine for All the World,” page 32. (Photography by Craig Dimond and Jerry Garns.)

Inside back cover: Daniel in the Lions’ Den, by Briton Riviere (1840–1920). Used with permission of the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, England. Daniel, a young Hebrew taken captive into Babylon, gained the king’s favor. The plotting of the jealous princes forced the king to condemn Daniel to death in the lions’ den. But because he was obedient to the Lord, Daniel was saved from harm. A contrite king declared that “men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God” (Dan. 6:26).
