Living Close to the Lord

I am close to the Lord when I obey the commandments Jesus has given us. Last Christmas, I was offered a piece of candy, but I noticed that it had a liquor-filled center. We are taught to obey the Word of Wisdom, so I didn’t eat that piece of candy. I can also be like Jesus when I put up with the joking and teasing my friends give me as I try to keep the commandments I learn at church. Another way to follow Jesus is to keep the Sabbath day holy by not going to the stadium for sporting events.
