1. To a manger in a stable came the shepherds and the kings,
From the hillside, from the palace, to Bethlehem that ev’ning.
To an infant born of Mary, with their gifts and offerings,
To a manger in a stable came the shepherds and the kings.
2. To a manger in a stable came our Shepherd and our King,
With a light from heaven shining on Bethlehem that ev’ning,
For the infant born of Mary had a gift of love to bring.
To a manger in a stable came our Savior and our King.
3. To a manger in a stable, where was born our heav’nly King,
We now turn our hearts, rejoicing, to Bethlehem this ev’ning.
To the Savior born of Mary our anthem we sing.
To the Christ Child in the manger, All our love we do bring.
