Time’s Page

A page yellowed with time

And a white, crisp new one,

Both have much to offer:

A time past—

and a time just begun.

I can read of days gone by,

Reliving history,

And then I write of my own life

And what it means to me—

The changing times,

The changing ways,

How people lived before,

To read of their experience,

To live in days of yore.

And now, another day reveals

A page, all clean and white,

My life and time,

The way I live,

Will linger through what

I write.
