She Needs Love

March 18, 2014

A story in the March Liahona reminded readers what it means to have Christ-like love for our brothers and sisters.

The author spoke of feeling uncomfortable while visiting a nursing home with some relatives. When Stephanie, a young girl about eight or nine years old, asked her mother why one of the elderly women looked sad, her mother leaned down and whispered, “She needs love.” The author then watched Stephanie, followed the example of the Savior and unhesitatingly climbed up onto the lap of an elderly woman to visit with her.

“During His ministry, the Savior, with great compassion, saw beyond the imperfections of body and mind and looked upon the heart.” -Quote by Elder W. Craig Zwick
