Focus your efforts where possible on temple ordinances. Invite those you are helping to involve other family members in their temple service.
President Russell M. Nelson has said:
“If our collections of stories and photos should ever become an end point in themselves—if we know who our ancestors are, and know marvelous things about them, but we leave them stranded on the other side without their ordinances, such diversion will not be of any help to our ancestors who remain confined in their spirit prison” (Family Discovery Day, RootsTech 2017).
The culmination of family history blessings is found at the temple. It does no good to create long lists of reservations if the work doesn’t get done. Effective consultants realize this and actively point people to the temple.
