Why Your Donation Matters
Since the Perpetual Education Fund was announced on March 31, 2001, it has blessed many lives:
- Over 64,000 participants in over 63 countries
- 47% men, 53% women, 35% married
- 2.8 years average to complete education
- A record 6,000 new loans were approved in 2014
- Hundreds of thousands have donated to make it possible
How to Donate
“Where there is widespread poverty among our people, we must do all we can to help them to lift themselves, to establish their lives upon a foundation of self-reliance that can come of training. Education is the key to opportunity” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “The Perpetual Education Fund,” Ensign, May 2001, 53).
“Some have already given very substantial amounts. … But we will need considerably more. We invite others who wish to contribute to do so” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “The Perpetual Education Fund,” Ensign, May 2001, 53).
In Memoriam Donations
Some people honor their loved ones who have passed away by making a donation in lieu of flowers. You can make your donation online or place an “in memory” donation link in an obituary in the newspaper by using the http://give.lds.org/pef link.
