Managing your money so you can help others

When we have a steady job, we might feel like we’re doing OK financially. But sometimes when we take a closer look, we see that we don’t have enough in savings and we’re living beyond our means. We are carrying too much debt.

In the parable of the talents, Jesus teaches us to be wise stewards. He expects us to multiply our talents and help others rather than storing up our talents only for ourselves. But in order to help others, we first have to learn to manage our own resources. As we read in Matthew, once we have been “faithful over a few things,” the Savior will then “make [us] ruler over many things” (Matthew 25:21).

So how do we be faithful over our few things?

 

 

 

When you have reached the point where you think you can breathe a little easier, pray to know who else you should help. You’ll be surprised at the opportunities that will arise. And as you help others, you’ll be amazed at how much you are also blessed.
