For the Strength of Youth: Education

Step 1: Learn

Some aspects of your project could work as quorum activities (such as visiting a job site or visiting an employment resource center).

To learn about the importance of gaining knowledge, study the section titled “Education” in For the Strength of Youth and Doctrine and Covenants 88:77–80, 118. Identify from these verses (a) what the Lord wants you to learn, (b) why He wants you to learn, and (c) how He wants you to approach learning.

Read “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” and identify your role as a future husband and father.

In the space below, write your answers to the following questions, and discuss them with your parents or quorum members:

  1. 1.

What are the benefits of gaining an education?

  2. 2.

How will gaining an education help you fulfill your priesthood duties (including as a missionary, as a husband, as a father, and in your service to others)?
