Youth from around the world testify of what they learned during the April 2018 general conference.
When we “talk of Christ” or how we’ve experienced His love and power, we help others know where they can turn for remission, comfort, and hope (see 2 Nephi 25:26). Many of you bore powerful testimonies of the Savior when you shared your notes, experiences, and insights from the April 2018 general conference, and we’re happy to share some of them here.
Last month we shared experiences from those of you who talked about the personal revelation you received and the things you felt during the April 2018 general conference, and this month you can read about youth who grew closer to the Savior.
We Are Not Failures
The talk by Elder Lynn G. Robbins really touched me because I’ve been learning a lot about the Atonement. It’s easy for us to think that because we sin we are failures, but we’re not. Heavenly Father knew we would make mistakes, and He made it possible for us to recover from our mistakes. I’ve learned that we shouldn’t be afraid to repent, and we definitely shouldn’t give up on ourselves, because the Savior will never give up on us. No matter how bad I feel, I know that Jesus Christ loves me.

The Savior Is Here for Us, Always!
I loved Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s talk, “Behold the Man!” Sometimes we notice Christ is there for us, but we take Him for granted and don’t fully “behold” Him as we should. I learned that the Savior is here for us, always! No matter the sin, no matter the pain or the sickness, He’s right here beside us and knows exactly what we’re going through because He’s been through it all too.

Simple but Extraordinary Truths
I know in my heart that I have a Savior. He came to this earth and bore my sins on the cross. I know that He loves me. I also know that I have a Father in Heaven who hears and answers all of my prayers. These are the simple truths in my life—simple but extraordinary! I know that when I make mistakes in my life, I can repent and live with my Father again through the power of the Atonement. (Read more about the love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for you in “Am I a Child of God?” by Elder Brian K. Taylor.)

He Loves Me More Than I Can Possibly Imagine
I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me more than I can possibly imagine. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, so that I can return to live with Him someday. Jesus Christ, in His infinite mercy, died on the cross at Calvary and suffered every sin at Gethsemane so that my sins can be “as white as snow.” Jesus Christ truly is the great Mediator; He pleads to God on our behalf that our sins may be forgiven. I know that God will forgive me if I come to him in sincere prayer and repent of my sins. He’s There When I Need Someone to Turn To
I’ve come to comprehend just a little bit better how much the Savior loves me. My wonderful seminary and Sunday School teachers have done so much to help me increase my understanding and appreciation of Jesus Christ’s Atonement. As I heard the Twelve Apostles bear testimony of the Atonement and Christ’s love for us, I realized that I know that He is always there when I need someone to turn to, and that truly means the world to me.
