Did March send wind heralds

To blow out a way

For the footsteps of April

And beautiful May?

Did March order daffodils

To uncap their heads

And fragrant sweet violets

To rise from their beds?

Did March tell the dandelions

And grass to push high?

Did March call for the birds

To wing north through the sky?

Did March do these things?

It would seem to be so,

For beauty is everywhere

Tingling to grow.
