“Akusikho Lokhu Kuzila Engikukhethileyo Yini?”

Umnikelo wakho wokuzila ukudla uzokwenza okuningi kunokusiza kondliwe futhi kwembathiswe imizimba. Kuzolapha futhi kuguqule izinhliziyo.

Uma sizinikela ukuba sisize noma ubani, uMsindisi uzwa sengathi sisiza Yena.

Wasitshela ukuthi lokhu kuyiqiniso ngesikhathi echaza isikhathi esizayo esizosithola sonke ngesikhathi sesimbona emuva kokuphela kwempilo yethu kulomhlaba. Isithombe salolo suku sivele ngokucaca okukhulu ezinsukwini lapho bengikhuleka futhi ngizile ukudla ukuze ngazi okumele ngikusho namuhla ekuseni. Incazelo yeNkosi yaleyo ngxoxo ezayo yanikezwa abafundi Bayo, futhi ichaza lokhu esikufisa ngezinhliziyo zethu zonke ukuba kube yiqiniso kuthina futhi:

“Khona iNkosi izakuthi kwabangakwesokunene sayo: ‘Zanini nina enibusisiwe nguBaba, nidle ifa lombuso eniwulungiselweyo selokhu kwasekelwa umhlaba:

Ngokuba ngangilambile, nangipha ukudla; ngangomile, nangiphuzisa; ngangingumfokazi, nangingenisa:

“Ngihamba ze, nangembathisa: ngangigula, nangihamba: ngangisetilongweni, neza kimi.

“Khona bayakuyiphendula abalungileyo ngokuthi: ‘Nkosi, sakubona nini ulambile sakupha ukudla, noma womile sakuphuzisa, na?

“Sakubona nini ungumfokazi sakungenisa, noma uhamba ze sakwembathisa, na?

“Sakubona nini ugula, noma usetilongweni, seza kuwe, na?

“Isiyakuphendula iNkosi, ithi kubo: ‘Ngiqinisile ngithi kini, njengokuba nikwenzile komunye walaba bafowethu abancane, nikwenzile kimi.”1

Mina nawe sifuna lokho kwamukelwa okufudumele kuMsindisi. Kepha singakufaneleka kanjani na? Baningi kakhulu abantwana baBaba oseZulwini abalambile, abanganamakhaya, futhi abanesizungu ukuthi singafinyelela kubo bonke. Kanti futhi izinombolo ziyaqhubeka ziyakhula zibe kude nathi.

Ngakho-ke iNkosi isinikeze into engenziwa umuntu ngamunye. Umyalelo olula ngokwanele ukuthi nengane ingawuqondisisa. Umyalelo onesithembiso esimangalisayo kulabo abaswele nakithi.

Umthetho wokuzila ukudla. Amazwi encwadini ka-Isaya ayincazelo yeNkosi yalomyalelo nesibusiso esingatholwa yithi abaseBandleni Layo:

“Akusikho lokhu kuzila engikukhethileyo yini: ukuthukulula izibopho zobubi nokuxegisa imichilo yejoka; ukukhulula abacindezelwayo nokwaphula onke amajoka na?

“Akusikho ukwabela abalambileyo isinkwa sakho, nokuyisa abampofu nemihambima ekhaya lakho? nokwembesa ohamba ze; lapho umbonayo, nokungazisithezi kwaba yinyama yakho, na?

“Khona ukukhanya kwakho kuyakuqhamuka njengokusa, nokuphuluka kwakho kuyakuvela masinyane, ukulunga kwakho kuhambe phambi kwakho; inkazimulo kaJehova ibe semva kwakho.

“Khona wena uyakubiza, kusabele uJehova; uyakukhala, abesethi: Bheka, ngilapha. “Uma ususa phakathi kwakho ijoka, nokukhomba ngomunwe, nokukhuluma okubi;

“Umnike olambileyo isinkwa sakho, usuthise othotshisiweyo, khona ukukhanya kwakho kuyakuphuma ebumnyameni, ukuhlwa kwakho kube njengemini:

“UJehova uyakukuhola njalo, asuthise umphefumulo wakho ezindaweni ezomileyo, aqinise amathambo akho; uyakuba njengensimu eniselweyo nanjengomthombo wamanzi, omanzi awo angaphuthi.”2

Ngakho-ke iNkosi isinikeze umyalelo olula ohambisana nesithembiso esimangalisayo kakhulu. Namuhla eBandleni sinikezwa ithuba lokuzila ukudla kanye enyangeni bese sinikela ngomnikelo wokuzila ukudla ngobubele ngombhishobhi noma umongameli wegatsha ukuze kuzuze abampofu nabaswele. Okunye kwalokhu onikela ngakho kuzosetshenziswa ukusiza labo abaseduze kwakho, mhlawumbe umuntu osemndenini wakho imbala. Izinceku zeNkosi zizokhuleka futhi zizile ukudla ukuze zithole isambulo sokwazi ukuthi zisize bani futhi ngosizo olunjani. Lokho okungadingeki ukuba kusize abantu abasewadini noma egatsheni lakho kuzosiza ukubusisa amanye amalungu eBandla emhlabeni wonke aswele.

Umyalelo wokuzilela abampofu uhambisana nezibusiso eziningi. UMongameli uSpencer W. Kimball wabiza ukuhluleka ukulandela lowo mthetho njengesono sokungenzi, esizosifaka enkingeni. Wabhala ukuthi: “Zinhle izethembiso zeNkosi kulabo abazila ukudla nabasiza abaswele. … Intshisekelo nokuholwa ngokomoya kuzoza ngokulunga nokusondelana noBaba oseZulwini. Ukungasenzi lesi senzo esilungile sokuzila ukudla kungasiphuthisela ngalezi zibusiso.”3

Ngathola isibusiso esisodwa salezo zibusiso emasontweni ambalwa adlule. Ngenxa yokuthi umhlangano omkhulu uba ngempelasonto ejwayele ukuba yimpelasonto yomhlangano wokuzila ukudla nokufakaza, ngazila ukudla futhi ngakhulekela ukwazi ukuthi ngingaqhubeka ngiwugcine kanjani umyalelo wokunakekela labo abaswele.

NgoMgqibelo, ngisakuzilile ukudla, ngavuka ngo-6:00 ngaphinde ngakhuleka. Ngezwa intshisekelo yokuba ngibuke izindaba zomhlaba. Lapho ngafunda lombiko:

Umoya Onamandla uPam ubhidlize amakhaya amaningi ngesikhathi ushaya ngqo ePort Vila, inhlokodolobha laseVanuata. Ubulale abantu abayisithupha eVanuatu, kwaqinisekisa umbiko wokuqala ngenxa yesinye sezivunguvungu ezinamandla kakhulu ezake zashaya umhlaba.

“Izihlahla zazingakwazi nokuma ziqonde ngesikhathi umoya onamandla ushaya” lelizwe lesiqhingi sasePhasifiki.4

Iqembu lokuhlola okuphuthumayo laseWorld Vision lahlela ukubheka umonakalo emuva kokuba isivunguvungu sithule. 

Batshela izihlali ukuba zibheke ikhosela ezakhiweni eziqinile njengasemanyuvesi nasezikoleni.

Bese bathi: “‘Into eqine kakhulu abanayo amasonto akhiwe ngosimende,’ kusho u-Inga Mepham [owase] CARE International. … ‘Abanye babo abanakho lokho. Kunzima ukuthola isakhiwo ongacabanga ukuthi singakwazi ukumelana nesivunguvungu esisesigabeni sesi-5.’”5

Ngesikhathi ngifunda lokho, ngakhumbula ngivakashela amakhaya amancane eVanuatu. Ngabona emqondweni wami abantu ababeqoqene emakhaya abhidlizwa umoya. Bese ngakhumbula indlela efudumele abantu baseVanuatu abangamukela ngayo. Ngacabanga ngabo nomakhelwane babo bebalekela esontweni lethu likasimende ukuze bathole ukuphepha.

Bese ngabona isithombe sombhishobhi nomongameli weNhlangano yokuSiza behamba phakathi kwabo, benikeza indududuzo, izingubo zokulala, ukudla abangakudla, namanzi okuphuza. Ngakwazi ukubona isithombe sabantwana abathukile beqoqene ndawonye.

Babekude nekhaya lapho ngangifunda khona lombiko, kepha ngangazi lokho iNkosi eyayizokwenza ngezinceku Zayo. Ngangazi ukuthi okwenza bakwazi ukusiza labantwana baBaba oseZulwini kwakuwumnikelo wokuzila ukudla, onikezwe ngokukhululeka ngabafundi beNkosi ababekude nabo kepha besondelene neNkosi.

Ngakho-ke, agilindanga iSonto. Ngahambisa umnikelo wokuzila ukudla kumbhishobhi wami ekuseni ngalolo suku. Ngiyazi ukuthi umnikelo wami ungasetshenziswa umbhishobhi nomongameli weNhlangano yoSizo ukusiza umuntu emphakathini wami. Umnikelo wami omncane kungenzeka ungadingeki lapho engihlala khona nomndeni wami, kepha insalela yasendaweni yethu kungase ifike naseVanuatu.

Ezinye izivunguvungu nezehlakalo zizofika emhlabeni ebantwini abathandwa yiNkosi futhi izinhlupheko zabo Azizwayo. Ingxenye yomnikelo wakho wokuzila ukudla walenyanga izosetshenziswa ukusiza umuntu othile, endaweni ethile, inkululeko yakhe iNkosi izoyizwa sengathi eYayo.

Umnikelo wakho wokuzila ukudla uzokwenza okuningi kunokusiza kondliwe futhi kwembathiswe imizimba. Kuzolapha futhi kuguqule izinhliziyo. Isithelo somnikelo onikezwe ngokukhululeka singaba yisifiso kuloyo othole usizo ukuba asize abanye abaswele. Lokho kuyenzeka emhlabeni jikelele.

Kwenzeka empilweni kaDade u-Abie Turay, ohlala eSierra Leone. Kwaqala impi yombango ngonyaka ka-1991. Yahlukumeza izwe iminyaka. Izwe laseSierra Leone lalivele liyizwe elibalwa emazweni ampofu kakhulu emhlabeni. “Ngesikhathi sempi, kwakungacacile ukuthi ubani ophethe izwe—amabhange … avalwa, amahhovisi kahulumeni avalwa, amaphoyisa [ayenganawo amandla okunqoba abavukela isizwe], …futhi kwakukhona isiphithiphithi, ukubulalana nokudumala. Abantu abayizinkulungwane ezingamashumi balahlekelwa yizimpilo zabo futhi abantu abangaphezulu kwezigidi ezimbili baphoqeleka ukushiya amakhaya abo ukuze babalekele ukubulawa.”6

Ngisho ezikhathini ezinjena iBandla lika Jesu Kristu labaNgcwele beziNsuku ZokuGcina lakhula.

Igatsha elibalwa emagatsheni okuqala lahlelwa edolobheni lapho ekwakuhlala khona uDade uTuray. Umyeni wakhe wayengumongameli wegatsha wokuqala. Wasebenza njengomongameli wesifunda ngesikhathi sempi yombango.

Uma izivakashi zivakashela ikhaya likaDade uTuray [manje], uyathanda ukuzikhombisa [amagugu] amabili asempini: ihembe elinemigqa emihlophe nehlaza [alithola] ezingutsheni ezisetshenzisiwe [ezanikezwa amalungu eBandla] nengubo yokulala, esigugile manje yaba nezimbobo.”7

Uthi, “Lelihembe yingubo … yokuqala [engayithola]. … Ngangiligqoka ukuya emsebenzini—indlela elalilunge ngayo. [Langenza ngizizwe ngimuhle kakhulu.] Ngangingenazo ezinye izingubo.

“Ngesikhathi sempi, lengubo yokulala yasifudumeza, mina nabantwana bami. Ngesikhathi labo abavukele isizwe beza ukuzosihlasela, lena iyona yodwa into engangakwazi ukuyithatha [ngesikhathi sibaleka siyocasha emahlathini]. Ngakho-ke besihamba nayo ingubo yokulala. Ibisigcina sifudumele futhi isivikelela komiyane.”8

“UDade uTuray ubonga umongameli wemishini owayeza kulelizwe elinempi nemali ekhukhwini.” Leyo mali, ephuma eminikelweni yokuzila ukudla yabantu abanjengawe, yasiza abaNgcwele ukuba bathenge ukudla lokho abaningi baseSierra Leon babengenayo imali yokukuthenga.9

UDade uTuray, ekhuluma ngalabo ababenobubele obanele ukuba banikele ukuba bephile, uthi, “Uma ngicabanga ngabantu abenza lokhu … ngizwa ukuthi [babe]thunyelwe uNkulunkulu, ngoba abantu abajwayelekile abasenzele lokhu.”10

Isivakashi saseMelika sahlala no-Abie kungekudala nje. Ngesikhathi sihleli naye, sathola amehlo aso “ehehwa imibhalo engcwele eyayiphezu kwetafula.” Sasibona ukuthi yayiligugu, “idwetshelwe kahle futhi inemibhalo eceleni. Amakhasi [ayemadala;] amanye edabukile. Okwakuyimbozile imibhalo engcwele kwasekudabukile.”

Sabamba imibhalo engcwele “esandleni saso futhi savula amakhasi ngesineke. Ngesikhathi [senza lokhu, sathola] ikhophi eliphuzi lephepha lomnikelo wokweshumi. Sasibona ukuthi, ezweni lapho [idola] laliyigugu, u-Abie Turay wayekhokha idola elilodwa njengomnikelo wakhe weshumi, idola elilodwa esikhwameni sabafundisi bevangeli, nedola elilodwa njengomnikelo wokuzila ukudla enzela labo, ngamagama akhe, ‘ababempofu ngempela.’”

Isivakashi savala imibhalo engcwele kaDade uTuray sacabanga, njengoba sasimile nalomama wase-Afrika onokholo, ukuthi sasisendaweni engcwele.11

Njengoba ukuthola isibusiso somnikelo wakho nowami wokuzila ukudla kungaguqula izinhliziyo, nokuzila ukudla wenzela omunye nakho kwenza njalo. Ngisho umntwana uyakuzwa.

Abantwana abaningi, nabanye abadala, ngezizathu zabo bangathola ukuzila ukudla amahora angama-24 kunzima. Kungezwakala sengathi, emazwini ka-Isaya, ukuzila ukudla “kuhlukumeza umphefumulo [wabo].” Abazali abahlakaniphile bayabona uma lokhu kungenzeka ngakho-ke bayaqinisekisa ukulandela umyalo kaMongameli uJoseph F. Smith: “Kungcono ukubafundisa umgomo, bese uyabadedela bawuthobele uma sebebadala sebekwazi ukuzikhethela ngokuhlakanipha.”12

Ngisanda kusibona isibusiso salomyalo. Omunye umzukulu wami wezwa ukuzila ukudla amahora angama-24 kungaphezulu kwamandla akhe. Kepha abazali bakhe abahlakaniphile bamufundisa umgomo. Omunye umngani wakhe esikoleni usanda kulahlekelwa umzala wakhe omncane engozini. Umzukulu wami wabuza umama wakhe ngosuku lokuzila ukudla, ngesikhathi leso ajwayele ukuzwa ngaso ukuthi ukuzila ukudla sekunzima kakhulu ukuthi aqhubeke, ukuthi kungamsiza yini umngani wakhe oshonelwe azizwe kangcono uma eqhubeka nokuzila ukudla.

Umbuzo wakhe kwakuyisiqiniseko somyalo kaMongameli uJoseph F. Smith. Umzukulu wami wayesefikile lapho eqonda khona umgomo wokuzila ukudla, futhi wawusutshalekile enhlizyweni yakhe. Wayezwa ukuthi ukuzila ukudla nemikhuleko yakhe kwakuzosiza ukubusisa umuntu oswele. Uma ephila lomgomo ngenjwayelo, kuzoletha okumangalisayo empilweni yakhe, njengoba kuthembise iNkosi. Uzoba nesiphiwo somoya sokukwazi ukuthola intshisekelo kanye namandla amaningi okunqaba isilingo.

Asizazi zonke izizathu ezenze uJesu Kristu aye ehlane eyozila ukudla futhi akhuleke. Kepha siyawazi umthelela owodwa: uMsindisi wanqaba izilingo zikaSathane ngokuphelele zokusebenzisa amandla Akhe angcwele ngendlela engalungile.

Lesi sikhathi esincane esizila ngaso ukudla izinyanga zonke kanye nemali encane esiyinikelayo ukusiza abampofu kusinikeza ingxenye encane yenguquko lwesimilo sethu ukuze singasafisi ukwenza okubi. Kepha kunesithembiso esikhulu, ngisho senza konke esingakwenza ukukhuleka, ukuzila ukudla, nokunikelela labo abaswele:

“Khona ukukhanya kwakho kuyakuqhamuka njengokusa, nokuphuluka kwakho kuyakuvela masinyane, ukulunga kwakho kuhambe phambi kwakho; inkazimulo kaJehova ibe semva kwakho.

Khona wena uyakubiza, kusabele uJehova; uyakukhala, abesethi: Bheka, ngilapha.”13

Ngiyakhuleka ukuba sizitholele thina nemindeni yethu lezo zibusiso.

Ngithula ubufakazi bami ukuthi uJesu unguKristu, ukuthi eBandleni Lakhe siyamenywa ukumsiza ngesikhathi enakekela abampofu ngendlela Yakhe, nokuthi Uyathembisa ukuthi sizothola izibusiso ezingunaphakade ngokumsiza. Egameni elingcwele likaJesu Kristu, amen.
