Paper towels and ribbon are about all you will need to make an apron.
Cut 5/8″-wide (1.5 cm.) ribbon 64″ (165 cm.) long for waistband.
Place eight paper towels on top of each other. Staple or sew paper towels to center of waistband.
When towel becomes soiled, just tear it off and you will have a clean apron again!
To make this pincushion, you will need: scissors; pastel Styrofoam egg carton lids, meat trays, or hamburger boxes; glue; ribbon; and pins.
Cut out eight Styrofoam disks the size of small juice can lid. Cut three larger disks.
Glue small disks together, then glue larger disks together for hat brim.
When glue dries, smooth edges of hat and brim with emery board or fine sandpaper.
Glue small disks in middle of hat brim.
Tie ribbon hatband around hat, or glue bow to brim.
Stick pins into top of hat.
To make a Mother’s Day card, you will need: heavy paper, scissors, 1″ (2.5 cm.) pearl button with only two holes, glue, pen, fabric scraps, lace, and rickrack.
Cut paper 5 1/2″ x 7″ (14 cm. x 18 cm.) and fold in half.
Glue button on front in middle. Let dry. With pen, fill in paper behind buttonholes for eyes.
Cut out hat from fabric and glue to paper and top of button. Cut dress and glue below button.
Draw neck from button to dress. Decorate dress and hat with lace, fabric, or rickrack. Add earrings or necklace.
