Machu Picchu ist eine uralte Stadt hoch in den Anden (einem Gebirge). Die Inka bauten sie vor vielen hundert Jahren. Auf Seilbrücken haben sie Schluchten überquert.

Im Amazonas leben rosa Delfine! Seinen Ursprung hat der Fluss in den Bergen Perus. Er fließt durch den Amazonas-Regenwald.

In Peru gibt es drei Amtssprachen: Spanisch, Quechua und Aymara. Die meisten Einwohner sprechen Spanisch. Im Amazonas-Regenwald werden aber noch ganz viele weitere Sprachen gesprochen.
