法利賽人和稅吏

有兩個人到聖殿去禱告，一個是法利賽人，另一個是稅吏；稅吏就是收稅的人。大家都不喜歡稅吏，覺得他們不誠實。

法利賽人站在很多人面前禱告，感謝神讓他比別人好。他說他每個星期禁食兩次，還繳付什一奉獻。稅吏則獨自一個人站著，低著頭禱告說：「神啊，開恩可憐我這個罪人！」

法利賽人認為自己十全十美，不需要神的幫助。而稅吏知道自己不完美，需要神幫助。他很謙卑，並且請求神寬恕他。
