第47章：十個童女

耶穌說了一個故事，談到有十個年輕的女子去參加婚禮。她們等待新郎到達，讓她們進去參加婚禮，但是她們不知道新郎什麼時候會到。

這十個女子帶著油燈，其中五位很聰明，多準備了一些燈油。

她們等了很久，新郎一直沒有來，燈裡的油都用完了。這時候，那五個聰明的女子還有油可以倒進燈裡，那五個愚笨的女子必須去買油才行。

她們離開的時候，新郎來了，新郎讓那五個聰明的女子進去參加婚禮。

那五個愚笨的女子回來的時候，門已經關上，所以不能進去參加婚禮了。

耶穌就像這個故事裡的新郎，教會成員就好像那十個女子。耶穌再次來臨的時候，有些成員已經準備好了，他們已經服從了神的誡命，有些人則沒有準備好，不能在救主再次來臨的時候和祂在一起。
