Naʻe peheni hono fakanounou ʻe Palesiteni Sione Teila (1808–87) ‘a e ngaahi ʻulungaanga mahu‘inga ʻo e kau faifekaú: “Ko e faʻahinga tangata [mo fafine mo e ngaahi hoa-mali] ʻoku tau loto ke nau ʻave ʻa e pōpoaki ʻo e ongoongolelei ko ʻení, ko ha kau tangata ʻoku nau tui ki he ʻOtuá; ko ha kau tangata ʻoku nau tui ki heʻenau tui fakalotú; ko ha kau tangata ʻoku nau fakalāngilangiʻi honau lakanga fakataulaʻeikí; ko ha kau tangata ʻoku … falala ki ai e ʻOtuá. … ‘Oku tau fie maʻu ha kau tangata ʻoku fonu ‘i he Laumālie Māʻoni‘oní pea mo e mālohi ʻo e ‘Otuá[,] … ko ha kau tangata lāngilangiʻia, ngeia, angamaʻa mo haohaoa.”2

‘I hoʻo ngāué, te ke fatu ai ha ngaahi manatu melie fakaʻofoʻofa mo ha ngaahi kaungāme‘a taʻengata. ‘Oku ʻikai ke u ʻilo ha toe malaʻe ʻoku toe mahu ange hono ututaʻu ʻo e fiefiá ka ko e mala‘e ʻo e ngāue fakafaifekaú.

Hangē ko ia ne u lea ʻaki ʻi he konifelenisi lahí ʻi he hili ha taimi siʻi mei hono ui au ke tataki ʻa e Siasí: “‘Oua ʻe manavahē. Mou fiefia. ʻOku hā ngingila mai e kahaʻú ʻo hangē tofu pē ko hoʻomou tuí.”3 ʻOku kei moʻoni pē ʻa e talaʻofa ko iá, kiate koe. Ko ia, ʻoua naʻa mole hoʻo tuí, he ʻoku teʻeki ke toʻo ʻa e falala ʻa e ʻEikí meiate koe. Tauhi ho‘o ngaahi fuakavá pea laka atu ki muʻa.

ʻOku fie maʻu ʻe he māmaní ʻa e ongoongolelei ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí. ʻOfa ke faitāpuekina ‘e he ʻEikí ʻEne kāingalotú kotoa pē—tatau ai pē pe ko e fē feituʻu ʻoku tau ngāue aí—ʻaki ha loto ngāue fakafaifekau.
