Gesù sapeva che volevano che Egli le nutrisse ancora.

Gesù insegnò che il pane poteva tenerli in vita solo per un breve periodo. Spiegò che c’era un altro tipo di pane che avrebbero dovuto cercare: il pane della vita. Disse che Lui era il pane della vita.

Gesù spiegò alle persone che avrebbe sacrificato la Sua vita per loro e che se essi Lo avessero seguito e avessero creduto in Lui, avrebbero ottenuto la vita eterna.
