Tuí mo e Fakatomalá

“Ko e meʻa ʻoku tau fie maʻu ʻi he lotoʻi Siasí, pea pehē ʻi tuʻa mei aí, ko e fakatomala. ʻOku tau fie maʻu ha tui lahi ange mo ha lotoʻaki lahi ange ke tokoni ki he ʻEikí.”

Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Palesiteni Siosefa Filitingi Sāmita, “ʻOku hoko mai ʻa e fakamolemole ʻo e ngaahi angahalá ʻi he tui mo e fakatomala fakamātoato.”1 Naʻá ne pehē “ʻoku fie maʻu, ke ʻoua naʻa tau tui pē, ka ke tau fakatomala,” pea naʻá ne toe akoʻi foki ko e taimi ʻoku tau fai ai ha ngaahi ngāue lelei ʻi he tuí ʻo aʻu ki he ngataʻangá, te tau “maʻu ʻa e pale ʻo e kau angatonú pea mo ha potu ʻi he puleʻanga Fakasilesitiale ʻo e ʻOtuá.”2 Naʻá ne fakamoʻoniʻi ʻa Sīsū Kalaisi mo malangaʻi ʻa e fakatomalá ʻi heʻene ngāué kotoa, ʻi heʻene fakaʻamu ke maʻu ʻe he kakai kotoa ʻa e pale ko ʻení.

Naʻá ne pehē ʻi he konga ki muʻa pē ʻo ʻene hoko ko e ʻAposetoló: “Te u pehē, ʻi he anga ʻo ʻeku fakakaukaú mo ʻeku ongoʻí, kuo hoko ko hoku misiona, ʻi he Laumālie ʻo e ʻEikí pea ʻi heʻeku ngaahi fefonongaʻaki ʻi he ngaahi siteiki ʻo Saioné, ke u tala ki he kakaí ko e ʻaho ʻeni ʻo e fakatomalá pea mo ui ʻa e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní ke nau manatuʻi ʻenau ngaahi fuakavá, ʻa e ngaahi palōmesi ne nau fai mo e ʻEikí, ke tauhi ʻene ngaahi fekaú, mo muimui ʻi he ngaahi akonaki mo e ngaahi lea ʻa e kaumātuʻa ʻo ʻIsilelí —ʻa e kau palōfita ʻa e ʻOtuá—hangē ko ia kuo ʻosi lekooti ʻi he ngaahi folofola māʻoniʻoni ko ʻení. ʻOku totonu ke tau ʻaʻeva ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻi he loto fakatōkilalo mo tokanga ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻEikí koeʻuhí ke tāpuekina kitautolu mo tataki ʻe hono Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní. Naʻe toki hiki ki mui ʻe Siosefa, ko hono fohá, ʻa ia naʻe ʻi he lotú ʻo pehē: “ʻOku ou manatuʻi lelei ha niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi lea naʻe fai ʻe [heʻeku tangataʻeikí] ʻi he meʻa ko iá. Ko e ʻuluaki tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻo e ongoongoleleí ko e tui ki he ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí.

ʻOku fakatefito ʻetau tuí ʻi he ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí, pea fou ʻiate ia ki he Tamaí. ʻOku tau tui kia Sīsū Kalaisi, tali ia ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá, pea mo ʻai kiate kitautolu hono huafá ʻi he vai ʻo e papitaisó.8

Tuku ke mahuʻinga taha ia ʻi homou ʻatamaí, ʻi he taimí ni pea ʻi he taimi kotoa pē, ko Sīsū ʻa e Kalaisí, ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtua moʻuí, naʻe hāʻele mai ki māmani ke tuku hifo ʻene moʻuí kae lava ke tau moʻui. Ko e foʻi moʻoní ia, pea ʻoku mahuʻinga. ʻOku langa ai ʻetau tuí. He ʻikai ke lava ia ʻo fakaʻauha. ʻOku ʻuhinga e tuí ke ngāue.

“Ko e tuí ko e tupuʻanga ia ʻo e ngāue kotoa pē.” [Lectures on Faith, lea 1.] Kapau te ke kiʻi fakakaukauʻi taimi siʻi ia, ʻoku ou tui te ke tui ʻoku mātuʻaki moʻoni ia ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakatuʻasinó pea pehē ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakalaumālié. ʻOku moʻoni ia ʻiate kitautolu ʻi heʻetau ngaahi ngāué, pea pehē ʻi he ngaahi ngāue ʻa e ʻOtuá. …

… Kapau ʻoku tau fie maʻu ke maʻu haʻatau tui ʻoku moʻui, mo tuʻuloa, kuo pau ke tau longomoʻui ʻi hono fakahoko e fatongia kotoa ʻi heʻetau hoko ko e kau mēmipa ʻo e Siasi ko ʻení. …

ʻOi, kapau pē ā ne tau maʻu e tui naʻe fakahaaʻi ʻe Nīfaí! Lau ʻi he vahe 17 ʻo e 1 Nīfaí, ʻi hono fakafepakiʻi ia ʻe hono ongo tokouá mo manukiʻi koeʻuhí ko ʻene teu foʻu ha vaká, ʻo pehē:

“Ko e tangata vale ʻa hota tokouá, he ʻokú ne pehē te ne lava ʻo foʻu ha vaka; ʻio, pea ʻokú ne pehē te ne lava ʻo ʻalu ki he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo e ngaahi fuʻu vai lahi ko ʻení.” [1 Nīfai 17:17.]

Naʻe tali ange ʻe Nīfai kiate kinaua:

“Kapau naʻe fekau kiate au ʻe he ʻOtuá ke u fai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē, pehē te u lava ʻo fai ia. Ka ʻo ka ne ka fekau kiate au ke u pehē ki he vaí ni, ke ke hoko ko e kelekele, ʻe hoko ia ko e kelekele; pea kapau te u lea ʻaki ia, ʻe fai ia.” [1 Nīfai 17:50.]

ʻOku ʻikai ke tau ʻaʻeva he taimí ni ʻi he mamatá, hangē ko ia ne tau fai ki muʻa pea tau toki ōmai ki māmaní, ka ʻoku fie maʻu ʻe he ʻEikí ke tau ʻaʻeva ʻi he tuí [vakai, 2 Kolinitō 5:7]; pea ʻi heʻetau ʻaʻeva ʻi he tuí te tau maʻu ai ʻa e pale ʻo e kau angatonú, kapau te tau muimui ki he ngaahi fekau ko ia ʻoku foaki mai maʻa hotau fakamoʻuí.12

Kapau he ʻikai talangofua ha taha ki he tokāteliné mo ʻaʻeva ʻi he tuí, ʻo tali ʻa e moʻoní mo tauhi e ngaahi fekaú he kuo foaki mai kinautolu, he ʻikai ke ne lava ʻo maʻu ʻa e moʻui taʻengatá, tatau ai pē pe ko e hā hano lahi e fakahā ʻe hono loungutú ko Sīsū ʻa e Kalaisí, pea tui naʻe fekauʻi mai ia ʻe heʻene Tamaí ki māmani ke huhuʻi ʻa e tangatá. ʻOku tonu ai ʻa Sēmisi ʻi heʻene pehē ko e kau tēvoló ʻoku nau “tui pea tetetete,” ka ʻoku ʻikai ke nau fakatomala [vakai, Sēmisi 2:19].13

Ko e fakatomalá ko e tefitoʻi moʻoni ia hono ua ʻo e ongoongoleleí pea ʻoku mahuʻinga ia ki hotau fakamoʻuí mo e hakeakiʻí.

Ko e fakatomalá ko e tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻinga hono ua ia ʻo e ongoongoleleí pea mo e ola ʻo e tuí.14

Ko e meʻa ʻoku tau fie maʻu ʻi he lotoʻi Siasí, pea pehē ʻi tuʻa mei aí, ko e fakatomala. ʻOku tau fie maʻu ha tui lahi ange mo ha lotoʻaki lahi ange ke tokoni ki he ʻEikí.15

ʻOku moʻoni koā ʻoku fakakaukau ha niʻihi ʻiate kitautolu ʻoku ʻikai mahuʻinga ia pe ʻoku tau faiangahala kehe pē ke ʻoua ko ha angahala mamafa, pe angahala fakamate, he ʻe kei fakahaofi pē kitautolu ʻi he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá? Naʻe mamata ʻa Nīfai ki hotau kuongá. Naʻá ne pehē ʻe lea pehē ʻa e kakaí [vakai, 2 Nīfai 28:7–9]. Ka ʻoku ou pehē kiate kimoutolu, he ʻikai ke tau lava ʻo tafoki mei he hala ʻo e moʻoní mo e angatonú mo kei maʻu ʻa e fakahinohino ʻa e Laumālie ʻo e ʻEikí.16

ʻOku ʻikai ha potu ia ʻi Saione moʻó e taha angahala loto fie faiangahalá. ʻOku ʻi ai ha potu moʻó e taha angahala ʻoku fakatomalá, ki he tangata ʻoku tafoki mei he angahalá pea fekumi ki he moʻui taʻengatá mo e maama ʻo e Ongoongoleleí. ʻOku ʻikai totonu ke tau sio ki he angahalá ʻo momoʻi fakaʻatuʻi, ʻo toe kehe mei he meʻa ʻoku lava ke fai ʻe he ʻEikí, ka ke tau ʻaʻeva angatonu mo haohaoa ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻEikí.17

ʻE toki lava pē ke fakahaofi mo hākeakiʻi ʻa e tangatá ʻi he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻi he māʻoniʻoni; ko ia, kuo pau ke tau fakatomalaʻi ʻetau ngaahi angahalá pea ʻaʻeva ʻi he māmá he ʻoku ʻi he māmá ʻa Kalaisi [vakai, 1 Sione 1:7], ke lava ʻe hono taʻataʻá ʻo fakamaʻa kitautolu mei he ngaahi angahala kotoa pē pea ke tau lava ʻo feohi mo e ʻEikí mo maʻu mei hono nāunaú mo e hakeakiʻí.18

ʻOku tau fie maʻu e fakatomalá, pea ʻoku fie maʻu ke talamai ke tau fakatomala.19

ʻOku fakahaaʻi e ʻaloʻofa ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní mo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻi he tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻo e fakatomalá.

Ko e fakatomalá ko e taha ia ʻo e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni fakafiemālie mo nāunauʻia taha ʻoku akoʻi ʻi he ongoongoleleí. Mahalo ʻoku fakahaaʻi mālohi ange ʻi he tefitoʻi moʻoni ko ʻení ʻa e ʻaloʻofa ʻetau Tamai Hēvaní mo hono ʻAlo pē Taha Ne Fakatupu ko Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻo laka ange ʻi ha toe tefitoʻi moʻoni. Ko ha toki meʻa fakamanavahē kapau naʻe ʻikai ke ʻi ai ha fakamolemole ʻo e angahalá pea ʻikai ha toe founga ki he fakamolemole ʻo e angahala ʻa kinautolu ʻoku fakatomala ʻi he loto fakatōkilaló! Te tau lava pē ʻo fakakaukau fakakonga atu ki he manavahē te ne lōmekina kitautolu, kapau te tau foua ʻa e tautea ʻo ʻetau ngaahi maumaufonó ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata ʻo ʻikai ha toe ʻamanaki ki ha faʻahinga fakafiemāie. ʻOku maʻu fēfē ʻa e fakafiemālie ko iá? ʻOku ala maʻu ia meia hai?

Kuo ʻosi folofola hotau ʻEikí:

“He naʻe ʻofa pehē ʻa e ʻOtuá ki māmani, naʻá ne foaki hono ʻAlo pē taha naʻe fakatupú, koeʻuhí ko ia kotoa pē ʻe tui kiate iá ke ʻoua naʻa ʻauha, kae maʻu ʻa e moʻui taʻengatá.

ʻOku kau ʻi he fakatomalá ha loto mamahi fakamoʻomoʻoni koeʻuhí ko e angahalá pea tafoki fakaʻaufuli mei he angahalá.

ʻOku pehē ʻe he folofolá:

“Ke ke ʻatu ha feilaulau ki he ʻEiki ko ho ʻOtuá ʻi he māʻoniʻoni, ʻa ia ko e loto mafesifesi mo e laumālie fakatomala.” [T&F 59:8.]

ʻOku ʻuhinga ia ke fakatomala.

“ʻE ʻikai te mou lava ke pehē, ʻo ka ʻomi ʻa kimoutolu ki he taimi fakamanavahē ko iá, te u fakatomala, pea te u tafoki ki hoku ʻOtuá. ʻIkai, ʻe ʻikai te mou lava ke leaʻaki ʻeni; he ko e laumālie pē ko ia ʻokú ne puleʻi homou sinó ʻi he taimi ʻoku mou fononga atu ai mei he moʻui ní, ʻe maʻu ha mālohi ke puleʻi homou sinó ʻe he laumālie pē ko iá ʻi he maama taʻengatá.” [ʻAlamā 34:32–34.]25
