ʻI he ʻuluaki fakataha ʻa e kau Fineʻofá, naʻe kole ange ai ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ki he kau fafiné ke nau tokoni ki he Kau Takí “ʻi hono vakaiʻi e fie maʻu ʻa e kau masivá—fekumi ki ha niʻihi ke fai ki ai ha tokoni ʻofa, pea tokangaʻi ʻenau ngaahi fie maʻú.”4 Naʻá ne akonaki foki ki he kau fafiné ke nau “ ngāue ʻo fakatatau ki he ongoʻi manavaʻofa kuo tōkaki ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi honau lotó.”5

Naʻe lotoʻaki ʻe he kau fafiné ʻa e tukupā ko ʻení pea kuo hoko ai ia ko ha kautaha mateaki ʻi hono tokoniʻi ʻo e masivá mo e faingataʻaʻiá. ʻI he kamata mai ʻa e Siasí naʻe tokoni ai e kau fineʻofá ʻi heʻenau ʻalu mei he ʻapi ki he ʻapi. Naʻa nau fakahoko e meʻa ʻoku tau ui ko e faiako ʻaʻahí, pea naʻe fononga pehē holo ʻa e kau fineʻofá ʻo tokoni ki he kakai kotoa pē— ʻo tokangaʻi mo tokonaki maʻa ʻenau ngaahi fie maʻú, pea fakapapauʻi ʻoku ʻi ai hanau meʻakai, vala, nāunau fale, ngāue maʻuʻanga moʻui, nofoʻanga, pea mo ʻoange ʻa e tokoni naʻe fie maʻú. Kapau naʻe ʻi ai ha kiʻi koloa ʻa ha fefine ke vahevahe, naʻá ne ʻoange ia ki he kau faiako ʻaʻahí. Kapau naʻe ʻi ai haʻane fie maʻu, naʻe ʻomi ia ʻe he kau fafiné.7

Tau moʻuiʻaki muʻa ʻa e Fineʻofá ʻo hangē ko e akonaki ʻa Palesiteni Poiti K. Manatuʻi, ko e taimi lahi ko e tokoní ʻoku fie maʻu ke fai ia ʻi hotau ngaahi ʻapí, kaungāʻapí pe ʻi hotau ngaahi koló. ʻI he ngaahi fuofua fakatahaʻanga ʻa e Fineʻofá, naʻe akonaki ai ʻa Siosefa Sāmita ki he kau fafiné ke nau feakoʻiʻaki ʻa e ongoongolelei ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí. Naʻá ne pehē, “ʻOku ʻikai ko e taumuʻa ʻo e kautahá ni ke tokoniʻi pē ʻa e masivá, ka ke fakahaofi foki ʻa e ngaahi laumālié.”9 Naʻá ne toe hoko atu ʻo pehē, “ʻOku ou maʻu ʻa e kií maʻamoutolu ʻi he taimí ni ʻi he huafa ʻo e ʻOtuá, pea ʻe fiefia ʻa e kautahá ni, pea ʻe tafe hifo atu mei ai ʻa e ʻiló mo e potó.”10 ʻOku ou manako he lea ko ʻení. ʻOkú ne fakamanatu mai ke u fiefia ʻi he ngaahi tāpuaki ʻa e ʻOtuá maʻá e houʻeiki fafine ʻo e Siasí ni.

Kuo fekumi maʻu pē ʻa e kau Fineʻofá ke nau ako pea mo nau tupulaki. ʻOku tau ʻiloʻi foki ko e “nāunau ʻo e ʻOtuá ko e ʻatamai potó.”11

ʻI he fakataha fakaʻofoʻofa ʻa e Fineʻofá naʻe fakahokó, naʻe hiki ʻe ʻĪlisa R. Sinou ʻi he minití ʻo pehē naʻe “meimei tuʻu ki ʻolunga e tokotaha kotoa pē ai ʻo lea, pea naʻe hangē ʻa e laumālie ʻo e ʻEikí ko ha vaitafe fakamaʻá, ʻo ne fakafoʻou ʻa e loto kotoa pē.”18 ʻOku mau fakatauange pē ʻoku ongoʻi ʻe hotau kau fafiné he ʻahó ni ʻoku fafangaʻi, fakamāmaʻi mo langaki hake kinautolu ʻi he taimi kotoa pē ʻoku nau ʻalu ai ki he lēsoni he Sāpaté, fakahoko ʻenau faiako ʻaʻahí, kau atu ki ha ʻekitivitī pe fai ha ngāue tokoni.

Ngaahi tokoua, ʻoku toe fakautuutu ange he taimí ni ʻetau fie maʻu e houʻeiki fafiné ke nau fakalakalaka mo mālohi. ʻOku tau fie maʻu ha kau fafine ʻoku nau fakahaaʻi ʻa e moʻoní ʻi he ivi lahi, tui mo e lototoʻa. ʻOku tau fie maʻu ke tā ʻe he kau fafiné ʻa e “sīpinga ʻo e anga māʻoniʻoní. ʻOku tau fie maʻu ke femoʻuekina e kau fafiné ʻi he ngaahi ngāue leleí.”19 ʻOku fie maʻu ke hoko ʻetau moʻuí ko ha fakamoʻoni ʻo ʻetau ʻofa ki heʻetau Tamai Hēvaní mo hotau Fakamoʻui ko Sīsū Kalaisí, pea ke tau fai ʻa Hona finangaló. ʻOku fie maʻu ke tau “haofakiʻi” ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku fungani ʻi hotau lotó”20 ke tau lava ʻi heʻetau hoko ko e ngaahi ʻofefine ʻo e ʻOtuá, ʻo fai hotau fatongia ʻi hono langa hake e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá. Te tau maʻu ha tokoni ke fai ʻeni. Hangē ko ia ne tala ʻe Siosefá, “Kapau te mou moʻuiʻaki homou ngaahi faingamālié, he ʻikai taʻofi ʻe he kau ʻāngeló ʻenau kau fakataha mo kimoutolú.”21

Tau fefuaʻaki muʻa ʻetau ngaahi kavengá, ʻo tangi fakataha mo kinautolu ʻoku tangí, fakafiemālieʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻoku fie maʻu e fakafiemālié pea mo tauhi e ngaahi fuakava kuo tau faí.22

ʻOku tau monūʻia fau. ʻOku hoko ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ko e ʻulu ki he Siasí ni. ʻOku tataki kitautolu ʻe ha kau palōfita, kau tangata kikite mo ha kau maʻu fakahā ʻoku moʻui. ʻOku tau maʻu ʻa e ngaahi tohi folofola māʻoniʻoní ke tau lau, ako mo maʻu ai e ngaahi talí ʻi heʻetau moʻui fakaʻahó. ʻOku tau maʻu e ngaahi temipale māʻoniʻoní ʻi he funga ʻo e māmaní ʻa ia ʻe lava ke tau maʻu ai e ngaahi ouau ʻoku fie maʻu ke ne tokoniʻi kitautolu ke tau toe foki hake ki heʻetau Tamai Hēvaní. Pea ʻoku tau maʻu foki e niʻihi kehé ke tau fetokoniʻaki.

ʻOku ou mamata ki he “ ʻīmisi ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻoku tongitongi [ʻi he] fofonga”23 ʻo kimoutolu ko e kau fafine lelei, ʻi heʻeku folaua ha ngaahi feituʻu lahi ʻo e māmaní. ʻOku ou fanongoa hoʻomou ngaahi ngāue leleí mo hoʻomou ngāue mateakí. ʻOku ou mamata ki he Maama ʻo Kalaisí ʻoku malama mei homou fofongá.

Pea te tau hangē leva ko e fakamatala ʻa Palesiteni Pēká: “ʻE lava ke fakatatau ʻa e Fineʻofá ki ha fale hūfangaʻanga—ko ha feituʻu ʻo e haoʻanga mo e maluʻanga… .
